Unscrew the cap and remove the foil seal. Attach the nozzle cap and twist the tip to open and close as needed.

Some dogs will need their ears to be cleaned more often than others. There are several factors to consider such as do they often swim and get mucky? Are they prone to ear infections? Do your dog's ears smell? If yes to these questions then they may need to be cleaned more often. If in doubt you should always check with your vet but every 2 to 4 weeks should suffice as part of a normal cleaning routine.

Dog ear cleaning wipes only clean around the outer part of the ear so are not effective enough to be used on their own. A dog's ear canal is quite a long tube so to clean it effectively you need to use a high quality cleaning fluid to break up the gunk that sits at the bottom.

If your dog doesn't like to sit stilI for long then an extra pair of hands can be useful to keep them still, but if you're cleaning your dog's ears on your own then try and position them so they are sitting in the corner of the room so they can't run off as easily. Then stand to their side so you can access the ear.

You need to squeeze enough cleaner fluid into the ear to fill the ear canal tube. Keep holding the outer ear up vertically while gently massaging the base of the ear (below the ear canal opening) for approx 20-30 seconds. Then allow your dog to shake it's head to disperse the fluid and ear wax / dirt. Don't put the top of the bottle in your dog's ear, but if it does make contact, clean the tip off to prevent the spread of any bacteria.
